Haynes manuals are pretty good, but as it was mentioned earlier in this post, they do like to omit exact instructions on how to take apart some things. they will show you most everything you need to know for basic - moderately involved repeir work.. You won’t find that in chilton or haynes, and i feel good about having a greater percent of old trans fluid out. other help on thermostat, 2 or 3 experiences and options etc. see if there is a repair site specific for your breed or engine is my best experience.. Haynes manuals are typically the best manual for brand new mechanics, or those who prefer more illustrations and diagrams to guide their repair work. haynes service manuals are also the better choice for those who need guidance for other vehicles, like motorcycles, atvs or bicycles..
Get a factory service manual if you do any work on your car. click to expand... i have done a lot of work on my cars...if you are going to use chiltons and haynes together you should get a good description of most maintenance and repair items.. Good day all, does anyone have any information as to which repair manual is best for a 2002 yamaha v star 1100? clymer or haynes? thanks. A haynes or a chilton’s repair manual is fine for the shadetree mechanic as they provide general repair procedures. but if you need a more in depth manual for your vehicle either get a factory manual or subscribe to one of the on-line repair services such as alldata..
